Getting To Verona Airport By Taxi

Verona airport’s taxi rank is located just outside the T2 arrivals hall. There are operators holding licences for the city to airport route.

A typical Verona Airport taxis fare from the airport into Verona’s ancient city centre costs from EUR 15.00 to EUR 25.00 depending on the time of day and the trip should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, unless travelling during rush hour.

Taxis Verona Villafranca Airport are provided by three official operators, who can be contacted in advance to make a booking: Unione Raio Taxi (tel +39 045 532 666), Taxi & Autoblu (tel +39 045 858 1403) and Radiotaxi Catullo (tel +39 045 222 3525); the central desk personnel will give the approximate cost and estimated time of arrival upon booking, although the total cost will be determined by the taxi meter at the end of the journey.

Verona Airport has excellent road links with major Italian cities like Milan and Venice via two motorways, namely the A4 and the A22. The town of Brescia is located a 75 km or 50 minute drive away and a Verona Airport taxis fare would cost around EUR 115.00 for 3 passengers and their luggage.

A typical taxi trip to Lake Garda from Verona Airport will cost around EUR 70.00 for three passengers travelling in a Mercedes E-class or similar limousine. This fare includes two large and two small suitcases. A minibus shuttle service for the same destination, taking 6 passengers and their six large suitcases and six pieces of hand luggage, will cost just EUR 80.00 for a one way journey. A typical minibus shuttle would be a Mercedes Viano. For groups of eight the journey would hardly be more expensive, as the Mercedes Vito, which seats 8 passengers and a driver, will be charged at just EUR 85.00 for a one way trip to Lake Garda.

Lake Garda is one of the Verona region’s most visited destinations. Italy’s largest lake lies just 10 km out of Verona city centre and offers amazing views over the mountains at Nago-Torbole at the northern part of the lake, where the Gruppo del Baldo mountain range meets the lake. Lake Garda is located roughly half way between Brescia and Verona. In the south of the lake lies the ancient fortified town of Sirmione, which is very popular with tourists thanks to the Virgilio and Catullo Spa complex and its vibrant nightlife. Close by is also Gardaland theme park, a popular family amusement park.

Surrounded by picturesque mountains and lined by olive and citrus trees, Lake Garda is a wonderful place to come all year round, but particularly in summer, when numerous water sports facilities including cruises on the lake and a mild Mediterranean climate make places like the Port of Lazise or Salò appear like images from a happy dream set against the backdrop of azure skies.

Taxis Verona Airport will take around 1 hour to cover the distance to Trento, a 98 km journey. Travelling to Milan will take approximately one hour and forty minutes for the 140 km distance. Venice is still within reach of a day trip, as it is just a 90 minute trip away (120 km distance from the airport in Verona).
